This wrap skirt is our version of a modern ‘tapis’ and ‘saya’ with a mix of different deadstock and handwoven fabrics representing the contrasting stripe and plaid fabrics seen in the traditional Filipiniana attire. The skirt can be styled to be worn everyday or for formal occasions.

Deadstock fabrics are textiles that are leftover at the end of garment production that are often discarded. We sourced our deadstock fabric from a local garment manufacturer that can no longer use the textiles because they come in very small quantities.

Our handwoven fabrics for this piece are made with abaca, cotton and linen. Some of the yarn we used is naturally dyed with talisay leaves and annatto seeds while the rest of the yarn is synthetically dyed and oeko-tex standard 100 certified.

Model is 160 cm and is wearing X-small.

This garment is made to order. It will take between 14 - 21 business days to complete the garment. This does not include shipping time. Business days are Monday to Friday.
